What thrift stores want to know

How does a thrift store or charity shop sell online?

With its own online shop that shows the range of all its stores. With Loopia Marketplace the shop runs under your name: your team photographs the goods, the AI creates the listings, and customers pay online. They pick up in store, or the item gets shipped.

How do the goods get into the shop?

With a photo. Your team puts several pieces on a table and photographs them together. The AI recognizes every piece, cuts it out, writes the title and category and suggests a price. After a check, one click puts all the listings online.

Can volunteers list the goods?

Yes. Listing needs no expert knowledge, the AI fills in the details. If you like, a responsible person reviews every listing before it goes live.

How does the AI come up with the price?

It suggests a price based on market value and shows the range, for example $35 to $60 for a Kodak Brownie from the 1950s. Your team takes the suggestion or adjusts it.

Can we auction special pieces?

Yes. For rarities, art or brand-name goods you start an auction with a reserve price and a fixed end. Customers bid online, and the highest bid wins.

Do customers pick up, or do you ship?

Both work. Customers pick up at the store where the piece is, or have it shipped. The shipping label is created automatically.

Does every sale get a receipt?

Yes. Every sale gets a receipt with the tax shown. In the back office you see revenue, payment method and shipping for each store.

Does the shop run under our name?

Yes. The shop carries your name and logo, and Loopia runs in the background.

Does this work for a thrift store with only one location?

Yes. The shop works with one store just as well as with several.
