How the buyback price comes about.

The pricing AI works with market data, your rules and running promotions, in real time. You have the final say.

The pricing AI makes the suggestion.

It reads resale prices on marketplaces and competitors’ buyback prices and suggests a price per model and condition. Your margin is always included.

  • Market data updated continuously
  • A suggestion per model and condition
  • Your rules and promotions always included
  • Your team approves or overrides

Questions about buyback prices

Where does the market data come from?

If you like, Loopia collects data from common marketplaces and competitors and updates it regularly. It is the basis to which your margin and cost logic is applied.

What does the pricing AI do?

It analyzes the market data and suggests a buyback price for every model and condition, with your margin and your rules included. Your team approves the suggestions or overrides them. No price changes without approval.

How high is the trade-in bonus?

You decide, per product group or campaign. In the example on this page it is 10%: the Sony Alpha 7 II counts $396 instead of $360 when traded in, and the customer pays only $1,803 for the Sony Alpha 7 IV.

How are defects reflected in the price?

You set deductions for conditions and defects, as a percentage or a fixed amount, for example minus $20 for a scratch on the screen. The pricing engine calculates the final price automatically.

Can promotions run on a schedule?

Yes. Campaign management works directly in the pricing engine. For example, you decide that all products get a surcharge only over the Black Friday weekend or for the whole of May, 10% or $50.

What happens to products that are not in the catalog?

Your customers or your team enter them as a request. Your specialists set the price in the employee portal before the offer becomes binding.

Can we test new pricing rules before they go live?

Yes. Loopia provides a test environment. There you try out new pricing rules and promotions before you switch them on.
